Echo Star
That name S Nutt will remember for a long time. She spent the morning taking care of and riding this pretty horse. She learned how to bathe her, feed her, saddle and bridle her (she had a lot of trouble getting the bit in her mouth). This was supposed to be how she spent her birthday yesterday, but it got delayed until today. She describes her day as "Terrific" and "Hard".

My first dialup post
We have finally connected to the internet from home. Yes, it is over dialup. After running a phone line to my computer desk (Thank you Grumpy Nutt) I found out my computer doesn't even have a regular modem. I had to go to WalMart in hopes that they still sell modems otherwise I would have to go to an antique store to look for one. It turn out that they do still sell them.
Honestly the connection isn't near as bad as I expected. I am connected at 41.2 Kb/s. The fastest I remember ever connecting the last time I had one of these was something like 20 Kb/s.
Well, let me click "Publish Post" and go to bed. I'll check back in the morning to see if it actually posted.

Gowen to Picksburg
Umina picksburg fer da weekend n'at. Probably won't git dahntahn to see da stillers walk of fame, but will gitda see friends and family n'at. We'll be gowen to Idlewild n'at.

Marlins 9, Nats 6
The Nats (thats what you call the Washington Nationals when your a big fan like me) lost the game, but earned a couple of new fans.
We had really great seats (Thanks Dave!) that the friend that took us got from a friend of his. Little D and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
My one big disappointment is that I missed an opportunity to catch a foul ball that came easily within catching distance from us. That would have been a great memory and souvenir for Little D.
An older lady sitting near us (who was apparently a life long season ticket holder going back to the Senators) had recently caught a foul ball. She had waited 63 years to finally get one! Maybe we'll get another chance, maybe not......

Magic Mountain wildlife
There has been plenty of interactions with wildlife so far in the new home. Just ask Mami Nutt about the killer frog on the porch that scared her so much she couldn't go to the van (I had to be the hero). And here is a picture of our friendly neighborhood turtle. Disappointingly I have not seen a single deer :( so I planted some food plots!
