The Shack
Mami Nutt and I are reading this book right now - and it is awesome. Go buy one today and read it tonight, REALLY.
-UPDATE - We finished the book, and SNutt is now reading it. It is a powerful and moving FICTIONAL book that is an allegory of the character of God (sorta like the Chronicals of Narnia) - Just don't read too much into the fiction, or treat it like scripture. Compare EVERYTHING it says about God to the truth of scripture.
Some christian leaders have expressed concerns about elements of this story. Others are not so concerned. I think that reading the book has caused me to look to what I know of God from scripture, and be impacted by that in a positive way.

Precious
I can't believe she's about to be the big sister. She sure likes being the baby of the family, but I think she will like being a little mother.
My Angel is turning 12
Last year of being a pre-teen, Oh My. She is looking forward to celebrating with Family this weekend. She is still the best fisherman living in our house!
Little D turns 9
It has been birthday season for us, with little D starting us off, followed by the Princess, and then my Angel. All within 4 weeks...... Little D started wrestling this year.

Her birthday, and she wanted to show off her riding skills! She has picked up on riding very well, under the tutelage of big sister.
Here's CHIEF!
Yup Dylan won out, his name is Master Chief, or just "Chief". He is very cute, and has been very well behaved so far. We are crate training him, so it will be a couple of months of diligent attention to have him thoroughly house broke. Gizmo has been OK with him, mostly by ignoring him!

What should I name him?
I picked out a Golden Retriever puppy last night! I have never had a dog to call my own, the dog we have now (Gizmo) is my wife and daughters. So, i finally am getting one as soon as he is weened (August 22).
Here are some of the names -
- Poopy. Now this is not really in competition, but it is what we were calling him when we were trying to pick between the 3 males.
-Colonel Klink - I could call him Colonel for short!
-Master Chief - We would call him "Chief" - this is the name I am leaning toward because of his "khaki" coloring.
I should take some pictures and post them!

OK, OK, OK
Here is a post. Now you can't say that I've stopped posting to my blog!
I started this blog originally as a way to keep family and friends up to date on the progress of the arrival of Baby #4 to our Nutty family. Well, since the arrival of #5 is fast appropaching, I need to take this thing out for a test drive, get it tuned up, and check the tire pressure. I want to make sure everything is set to document Mirisa's arrival!
